“The 8 week 3days/week fitness training class was very beneficial for me in terms of jump starting a healthy exercise and eating regime. Before the module I was quite out of shape. My goal was to tone up and lose 20 pounds. In 8 weeks I had lost 16 pounds and gained 2 pounds of muscle! Now I like getting dressed in the morning! It was hard work, but it really paid off. The trainer, Chris, is attentive, very polite and kind. He listens to your needs (e.g, I have weak joints and I’m pretty darned weak all over) and he tries to push you to your limits and beyond what you thought you were capable of. We did a lot of work with weights. We were also placed on a meal plan designed to help us lose weight. Now, I had been eating more saturated fats and calories than I should have been in the months (and years) leading up to this, so the first week on the meal plan was tough. But I did it and it was definitely worth the money!! After 3 weeks I felt so much better. Now, I continue to exercise regularly and I do eat more, but I still avoid those foods that made me gain the weight and I am really enjoying what I’m eating. The gym is small and personal and if you want a caring team looking out for you, in a supportive low key environment, then this is a great place to start your fitness journey. Since the module, I am attending yoga and kick boxing classes at the same location with Chris and his wife Stephanie. I plan on continuing to attend the Destiny Fitness gym in the months to come!”
